YOUR PRODUCTION AT LACHLAN RIVER STUDIOS MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR A GRANT FROM THE NSW FTO REGIONAL FILMING FUND.

The NSW Film & Television Office (FTO) supports and encourages the growth of the film and television industry in regional NSW through the Regional Filming Fund (RFF), which is an annual fund available for filmmakers that intend to film for at least one week or more in any part of regional NSW.

Funds are provided by way of grants and not investments. As such grants will not be recouped by the FTO. The aim of the RFF is to encourage Australian productions (and eligible co-productions) to film outside metropolitan Sydney, by granting assistance to offset the costs associated with filming in regional areas.

The level of assistance is based on the total amount a production will expend in a regional area and will be considered for amounts up to 35% of the estimated regional spend with the maximum grant issued to any production capped at $100,000.

The regional spend will include budgeted costs associated with Filming in regional NSW such as the use of local services; hiring of local personnel & equipment; casting & specialist advice; location fees; accommodation, travel and transportation costs (where applicable) associated with moving the production to the regional NSW location and ‘Below the line’ shoot-related expenses excluding indirect costs, development costs and post-production costs
